Tuesday, April 29

5:14 p.m. A resident told police her dog was acting strange. Normally he greets her in the garage, but this time he went behind the garage. He was back there a long time.

When the resident went to feed him, he was not hungry. She noticed his breath smelled like steak.

Later a neighbor called and said while she was standing on her back deck she saw a man behind the resident’s garage. The resident believed that the man was feeding her dog to keep the dog quiet while he attempted to break into her house.

The man was described as possibly a teenager or in his early twenties.

Sunday, April 27

8:17 a.m. Two bales of hay were stolen from a south island barn. The hay was brought in around 7:30 a.m. and it was gone by the following morning.

This is the third time hay has gone missing from the barn. The owner of the hay believes a neighboring property owner has been taking the hay for his cows, who she says eats alfalfa when they are calving. Her hay is alfalfa.

Saturday, April 26

9:34 p.m. A group of teenagers were seen lurking in someone’s backyard in the middle of the night. They were carrying flashlights and had come out of the wooded area behind the house.
