SEATTLE – Several speedy islanders took home top honors at the recent 32nd annual St. Pat’s Dash in Seattle.
Bainbridge High School senior Ryan Cox — in what longtime running advocate Jim Whiting said “might be the best ever finish by an islander” — came in 10th place overall (16:14), and was first in the male age 14-18 age group.
Eva Entress (23:57) and Cora Cole (24:00) came in second and third, respectively, in the female 13-and-under age group.
All three runners were members of Bainbridge O’Blazers team, the fourth-largest of more than 30 participating teams.
