Wouldn’t it be wonderful to have a successful businessman on the City Council?
A businessman who can work collaboratively and yet who, after reviewing information, can make decisions. The Planning Department and Council have embroiled the city in many needless lawsuits. We need a pragmatic figure that can balance different points of view and help achieve positive results for our community. After all, we have all moved here for relatively the same reason: the pastoral and wooded peacefulness of an island so unique, so close to a metropolis.
Steve cares about maintaining the quality of life that we enjoy here. Add to his conservationist credentials the ability to read a profit and loss statement and dissect a balance sheet and you have a winning combination. This is our chance to improve our City Council and cut down on the foolish contentiousness and inattention to detail that we have all witnessed in council and planning department meetings.
Elect Steve Bonkowski to the City Council so that we can achieve meaningful change. Change that will improve our bond ratings; keep our island beautiful; and contribute to the success of our local businesses and caring institutions.
