Phyllis Walz Jones passed away on July 27, 2016 at Harrison Hospital.

Phyllis was born on March 25, 1923 in Anacortes to Reinhardt P. and Jessie (Jones) Walz.

The family moved to Bainbridge Island in 1926. Phyllis attended Pleasant Beach and Bainbridge high schools, graduating in 1942. She met Robert Fenn while visiting family in New York and married in 1948. After divorce, she married Richard Jones in 1976.

Phyllis had dementia the last 15 years of her life, and continued to live on Bainbridge and attend activities at the Bainbridge Island Senior Center and Bethany Lutheran Church (1962-2016).

Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15 at Bethany Lutheran Church, 7968 Finch Road NE. A reception will follow.
