Bainbridge logo inspires ditty, but not much else | LETTER TO THE EDITOR

To the editor:

A panel of experts has determined that the latest grope in the wrong direction has earned a grade of B Splat. Just look at that thing and tell me what you see. I’m referring to the capital “B” with the shape of the island inside of it.

Will we next be subjected to the pointy tree in the eye, with the not-so-cute tagline “Sea All Around Our Town” ? (In fairness, I guess a pointy tree is better than a sharp stick).

If so, I’d like to contribute a little ditty.

“Bainbridge Island, so cute and punny, please come visit and spend your money.”

Speaking of money, how much has the city spent so far to get us to this, uh, point?
