Next Bainbridge parks meeting moved to aquatics center

Bainbridge park officials will meet in a new place, and at an earlier time, for their next meeting.

The board of the Bainbridge Island Metropolitan Park & Recreation District will hold its next regular meeting at 5 p.m. Thursday, July 21 at the Bainbridge Island Aquatic Center.

At next week’s meeting, the board will consider a proposal for a storage shed for the roller hockey program, and also review the lease agreement for Fort Ward Community Hall.

Also on the agenda: a discussion of the city transfer of the Meigs property and adjoining lands, and the timeline for the 2017 budget.

There will also be work group presentations from the Sakai park planning process.

The aquatic center is at 8521 Madison Ave. North.
