Carden Country School celebrated its annual “Pumpkin Parade” when students from kindergarten through eighth grade transform pumpkins into everything from snails to pirate treasure.

This year’s entries included Cookie Monster, a tarantula, Olaf from Disney’s “Frozen,” a plate of nachos, and Harry Potter’s Golden Snitch.

Officers Eric Peffer and Trevor Ziemba from the Bainbridge Island Police Department served as judges alongside Paster Brandon from New Life Church. Jett Peters won best in show for his scary tarantula. The children were delighted to celebrate this tradition with the officers.
