PAWS fundraiser exceeds goals | Letters | Sept. 25

I’d like to shout a big “thank you” to the community on behalf of the PAWS board and staff, all the pets and people who benefit from our programs, and especially the 400 local low-income families that are recipients of our veterinary financial assistance program.

The Spotlight on PAWS benefit dinner and auction, held last weekend at IslandWood, raised more than $75,000 – exceeding our $60,000 goal. Thank you so much to all the donors, sponsors, volunteers, and participants who made this possible.

Once again, Bainbridge Island and North Kitsap neighbors have exhibited the sense of community compassion that makes living here so exceptional.
