The Bainbridge Island School District is bidding farewell this week to three familiar faces who have a combined 82 years of public education service.
The district will host a retirement reception for Kathy Roberts, Cami Dombkowski and Bob Houk on Wednesday, Aug. 27 in the commons at Bainbridge High School.
All three are retiring this month.
Roberts, the administrative assistant to District Superintendent Faith Chapel, came to the Bainbridge district in 2001 after 17 years with Everett Public Schools. Among her talents, Roberts is an artist and writer.
Dombkowski, the human resources and transportation director for the district, is stepping down after serving the district since 1990. Dombkowski has lived overseas and loves singing.
Robert “Bob” Houk, a lead custodian, came to the district in 1986. He is an avid fisherman and is the son of a late Major League Baseball player and manager.
The reception will be held from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 27.
