Washington State Ferries is advising riders on the Bainbridge Island-Seattle route to plan ahead for Sunday ferry travel.

Thousands of football fans will be headed to and from the Seahawks NFC Championship game and ferries are expected to be busy.

WSF said travelers can avoid long lines by leaving early and pre-purchasing return-trip tickets.
