Homecoming Week kicks off at Bainbridge High School

Published 2:24 pm Monday, September 24, 2012

The Spartans of Bainbridge High School will celebrate Homecoming all this week.

Dress-up days for Spirit Week started on Monday, Sept. 24 and continue through Friday’s big, all-school homecoming assembly, football game and homecoming dance.

This year, the themes for the dress-up days are: Monday, “Pajama Day”; Tuesday, “Dress Like Your Parents Day”; Wednesday, “Twins Day”; Thursday, “Mountaineer Day”; and Friday, “Spirit/Blue & Gold Day.”

Also Friday, Bainbridge students will vote to pick their Homecoming Court.

The football game Friday pits Bainbridge (1-3) against undefeated Bishop Blanchet (4-0).

Halftime activities will include the announcement of the Homecoming Court and a great show by the BHS Marching Band. Organizers note that a large crowd is anticipated, so attendees should come early. Kickoff is at 7 p.m.

Homecoming 2012 wraps up after the football game with the homecoming dance, which usually attracts between 250 to 450 students.

Sponsored by the Bainbridge High Cheer Squad, the theme this year is “Decades Dance.”
