Thanks to those who help in a time of need | Letters | Nov. 5

We want to thank the three kind Samaritans who stopped to help Peter when his stepdad Bud had a heart attack on High School Road on Sunday evening.

We also want to thank and warmly commend the amazingly prompt and efficient response of the EMTs and fire department volunteers who supported Peter and the whole family and tried so valiantly to save Bud’s life.

We know that if he could have been saved at all, he would be with us today.

Though the very best help was not the answer, we also know that he is free of pain now and that is a huge blessing.

As a community, we are fortunate indeed to have such skillful and compassionate people who turn out night and day to help total strangers in need.
