The Rigs and Westerly perform at BIMA

Musical performance artists The Rigs and Westerly will perform live from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 17 at the Bainbridge Island Museum of Art.
Westerly is a local Bainbridge Island band that performs a lyrical blend of folk music, layered with rich vocal harmonies, woven into poetic stories. Band members Matt Bellman (lead singer and guitarist), Sarah Favret (vocals, guitar, harmonica, and ukulele), Raffi Minasian (fiddle and vocals), and Georgia Browne (bass, vocals) have performed for a wide range of audiences throughout the Pacific Northwest.
The Rigs (www.digtherigs.com) are an electrified Leslie-fiddle power trio with a unique brand of supercharged Americana that has been wowing crowds all the way from New York City down to New Orleans, and across the pond to the Middle East. Eric Robertson (vocals, bass and mandolin), Duncan Wickel (vocals, Leslie fiddle and electric cello) and Nicholas Falk (vocals, drums and banjo) deliver sharp-witted lyrics and Supercharged Americana rooted in the Appalachian Mountains and brewed on the funky streets of New Orleans.
