Rockefeller says situation is fluid | Letters | Jan. 29

One of the greatest gifts we can give each other is time and the willingness to listen. Recently State Sen.Phil Rockefeller took the time to meet with a citizen of Eagle Harbor and to listen with an open mind.

He then aarranged and attended a meeting with our Public Lands Commissioner Peter Goldmark and several anchored-out residents. Rep. Inslee’s aide also attended the meeting.

It became clear that there are possibilities that have not yet been explored and room for flexibility within existing regulations that may indeed allow for a solution that can actually work.

There is no limit to what we can accomplish when we are willing to listen with an open mind. We are lucky to have Sen. Rockefeller, who recognizes that.
