The Bainbridge Island School Board will meet at 5:30 p.m. Monday, April 18 to discuss the four superintendent candidates and likely make a final decision about who is best suited to lead the district’s educational endeavors.

The meeting, which is open to the public, will take place in the district’s board room at 9530 NE High School Road. It can be accessed via the “pit” parking between Commodore and Bainbridge High School.

Last week, members of the community had the opportunity to meet the finalists, ask them questions and share written feedback with the board.

The board spent more than six hours reviewing that feedback, School Board Vice President Sheila Jakubik reported.

Tonight, board directors will continue the discussion and are expected to make a final selection.

The new superintendent will replace Superintendent Faith Chapel, who is retiring at the end of the current school year.
