BRAGA, Portugal – Four Bainbridge Island Rope Skippers followed their recent success at the Pam Am Championship earlier this month with another strong showing at the World Jump Rope Championship held in Braga, Portugal, featuring more than 650 jumpers from more than 25 different countries.

On the final day of competition, at the grand event that pits all groups against each other regardless of age, the jumpers were the third fastest female team in the competition and received a third-place trophy in their Double Dutch speed relay, scoring 734 jumps in 120 seconds.

Two of the team’s college-age jumpers, Anna Warga and Abigail Harrison, joined forces with two jumpers from the Montana Super Skippers team, Erin and Riley Williams, and together they took third in the All Around Award in Double Dutch events in their age division.

They also brought home silver medals in the Double Dutch speed relay, the Double Dutch pairs speed event, the Double Dutch freestyle and a sixth-place nod in Double Dutch pairs freestyle.

They also medaled in several single rope events, with Abigail Harrison taking a bronze medal in her individual freestyle single routine and a silver medal in the double under relay with Erin Williams.
