Bloedel Reserve hosts Spooky Creatures Walk

Bloedel Reserve will host a Spooky Creatures Walk from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26 at the reserve.

Join West Sound Wildlife Shelter and Bloedel Reserve for an evening walk and find out which animals rule the night.

Under the veil of darkness, visitors will take guided tours of the reserve’s grounds and meet a variety of animals along the way.

Animal handlers from the West Sound Wildlife Shelter will give walkers an up-close look at spooky and nocturnal creatures and explain each animal’s unique characteristics. Participating animals include an opossum, a vulture and various owls such as Barred, Great Horned, Saw Whet and Screech.

Walks leave every 15 minutes and guests should purchase tickets for selected time slots.

Afraid of the dark? Select an earlier walk. Like things extra-spooky? Choose one of the later times.

Either way, please bring a flashlight to help maneuver your way along on the paths.

Tickets are $10 for ages 13 and older; $5 for children 4 through 12; and free for children 3 and younger.

Get tickets at www.westsoundwildlife.org. All proceeds of the event will benefit West Sound Wildlife Shelter.
