Bainbridge Island is now accepting applications for tourism-related grants from the city’s Civic Improvement Fund.
City officials note that approximately $200,000 in funding will be allocated in 2017, and the grants will go to projects that promote tourism on the island or support the operation of tourism-related facilities.
Funding awards can range from $2,000 to $100,000.
Proposals should be emailed to cityadmin@bainbridgewa.gov by 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7. They will be forwarded to the city’s Lodging Tax Advisory Committee, who will pass on their funding recommendations to the city council for final approval.
