A multiple car crash on Highway 305 at Sportsman Club Road left traffic on the island's main thoroughfare jammed up just before 11 a.m. Thursday.

A multiple car crash on Highway 305 at Sportsman Club Road left traffic on the island’s main thoroughfare jammed up just before 11 a.m. Thursday.

The highway has been closed to one lane, and traffic is being alternated between northbound and southbound drivers as emergency responders attend to the incident.

The accident was reported just before 10:30 a.m. Oct. 8.

The crash appeared to involve two vehicles that were headed south on Highway 305.

Bainbridge police, the Bainbridge Island Fire Department, and an ambulance from Bainbridge Island Ambulance were at the scene.
