Regan Maria Wortley, a junior majoring in mechanical engineering at the University of Rochester, is spending the spring semester in Dublin, Ireland.

Wortley, the daughter of Nicole and Jeff Wortley, is a graduate of Bainbridge High School.

The University of Rochester, founded in 1850, is a private research university located in Rochester, New York.

Hundreds of University of Rochester students study outside the United States each year in more than 40 cities.

Most take full-time study programs while others earn academic credit for internships, which are supported by related coursework in government offices, museums, health organizations, theaters, law offices and corporations.
