Ferry rates to increase May 1

Washington State Ferries full fare vehicle/driver tickets will increase due to a 25 percent surcharge on May 1, the first day of peak season.

Vehicle/driver tickets on the Bainbridge-Seattle crossing will increase from $11.85 to $14.85.

The surcharge does not affect passenger fares or multi-ride fares.

Peak season fares will be in effect through October 9.
