To the editor:
Did you screen the Call?
If that Red Envelope that came in your mail in October was a call that got screened, it is not too late to answer. Giving to One Call for All is a voluntary action for the common good. And, over 55 years, that giving has become a tradition that is primary to the quality of life on Bainbridge Island.
Everyone can participate. One Call for All provides an opportunity to be a philanthropist that is not only easy but feels good too. You can choose to support organizations that give a hand up to our neighbors in need or organizations that work to preserve our land and environment or organizations that provide cultural sustenance through the arts and education. When we look around our community there is the bright reflection of the generosity of many. It is generosity that is more that the tangible gifts of volunteer time, personal skills and interests and money, it is the generosity of spirit.
If you have already given to One Call for All this year, thank you! If not, consider a gift today, not just because it is the right thing to do or that it makes you feel good, but give knowing that you will get an excellent return on your investment in making Bainbridge Island a special place to live.
