Thanks Quitslund

To the editor:

A big thank you to Jon Quitslund for his tireless work for our community. As south end constituents, we were especially grateful for his advocacy.

Last summer we had a neighbor whose illegal tree clearing on a steep hillside threatened our community. City staff was slow to respond to our concerns. Jon responded immediately and worked with city staff to address the problem. We got results.

He also pointed out that future illegal cutting could be limited by larger penalties. So, Jon solved the problem and proposed a long-term solution. Great constituent representation!
