Bainbridge blotter | Raging pedestrian

Selected reports from the Bainbridge Island Police Department blotter.

MONDAY, JULY 18

10:50 p.m. Police responded to a downtown Winslow bar when contacted by the closing manager about a suspicious man who had followed a group of patrons from the ferry.

They were nervous, he said, and asked to be seated away from the strange man, who said his name was “Aeon.” He was tall, in excess of six feet, and wearing a black coat. The manager had a Polaroid photograph of two women in the bar, which included the man who had apparently “photobombed” them.

He then left without paying his bill, but since it was a very small amount the manager decided not to press criminal charges but merely ban him from the place.

Police could not find the man.

TUESDAY, JULY 19

3:51 a.m. Police discovered a plastic pipe of the variety used to smoke narcotics near the southern entrance of Safeway on High School Road. Nobody was around at the time.

3:41 p.m. A woman delivered a money clip and cash to the police station. She found it on the sidewalk outside of Millstream on Winslow Way.
