Less than a dozen homes on Bainbridge Island were still without electricity Tuesday morning as Puget Sound Energy continued to work to restore power following Sunday’s windstorm.

The few remaining outages on Bainbridge Island are near Manzanita on the island’s north end, and east of Heyday Farm in the Old Mill Road area.

According to PSE, approximately 6,200 of the utility’s customers in Kitsap County were still without power Tuesday morning.

PSE expects to restore power throughout Kitsap by midnight Wednesday.

The utility said Tuesday its Kitsap Storm Base was still open, and 29 crews  of two to four people were working in the county.

Power restoration efforts in some areas of Kitsap have been delayed due to the need to repair broken power poles, PSE reported Tuesday.
