Cheesecake company
Bainbridge Island has a new gourmet cheesecake company, Fantail Farm, that is launching in early November for both retail & wholesale customers.
Fantail Farm offers 10″ gourmet cheesecakes that are made to order for everyday life, special occasions, & holidays. Each cheesecake has 12-16 servings.
“We offer a wide variety of flavors that are made in small batches and with fresh ingredients that are delivered weekly to Bainbridge Island – this means there is limited availability so be sure to pre-order if you can,” a news release says.
Both in-person pickup and local delivery on BI are available. For more information or to order a gourmet cheesecake, visit thefantailfarm.com
Civil Service Commission
The city of Bainbridge Island is seeking applicants to serve on the Civil Service Commission.
The commission is charged with ensuring hiring examination processes for the police department are open and competitive at entry and promotional levels. The commission adopts rules and regulations for the police department’s civil service employees. The commission also handles any appeals related to testing and to those involving employee discipline, per a news release.
Commissioners serve four-year terms and are appointed by the city manager. There are two open positions beginning Jan. 1, 2026. Deadline for applications is 8 a.m., Nov. 21.
