3 NK softballers sign letters of intent

North Kitsap’s senior guard Harry Davies committed to play basketball at Central Washington University, while three softball players aslo signed to play in college.

While at NK, Davies scored over 1,000 career points, was named Olympic League Co-MVP and Defensive Player of the Year. In addition, Davies assisted the Vikings to a third- and sixth-place finish in the 2A state tournament in his high school career.

Meanwhile, NK softball hosted a signing day for three seniors at the NK Commons May 14. Vikings Allison Dvorak, Cerenity Fake and Hannah Richards were celebrated with family and friends as they signed letters of intent.

Dvorak signed to play at Macalester College, a Division 2 school in St. Paul, MN. She plans to major in neuroscience with a minor in Spanish. She chose Macalester because “the players were super nice and dedicated, and the coaching staff was amazing.”

Richards is continuing at Domincan University, a Division 2 school in Riverview, IL and focus on culinology. She chose the school while playing in a select tournament in Las Vegas. She noticed it was one of the only schools to have a softball and culinary program.

Fake will continue at Lower Columbia College, a junior college in Longview, and focus on chemistry. Fake chose Lower Columbia College because “the coaches are super nice and attended some of the NK games from the stands this season.”
