Online survey starts for update of Bainbridge parks comp plan

The Bainbridge Island Metropolitan Park & Recreation District has started an online forum and survey as parks officials continue their effort to update the comprehensive plan for island parks and recreation.

The plan outlines agency goals and is used to make program and funding decisions. Members of the public are invited to offer comment on the plans for Sakai Park, the pool renovation, or any ideas on possible acquisitions.

The plan is updated every six years based in part on insights from park and recreation users and residents regarding preferences for parks, programs, and facilities.

The online forum will continue through Sunday, June 30 at www.biparks.org.
