SATURDAY, FEB. 2
10:38 p.m. Police were called to private residence on Bill Point Bluff NE to investigate a reported suspicious person in the home.
The owner, who lives in Hawaii, told police she rents the home to a woman, who is the only person allowed to be there. Upon arriving, police saw two men and a woman sitting inside watching TV. They knocked, introduced themselves and explained the situation. The man who answered the door told them the tenant was out of town and had asked him to watch her dog and house sit, and it was he who had invited the others over.
Police informed the homeowner of the situation, and she asked they be removed and the house locked.
The situation was explained to the trio, who promptly washed the dishes they’d used and left without issue.
The homeowner asked extra patrols be conducted in the area to ensure the trio did not return.
