Wind advisory issued for Puget Sound, Western Washington

The National Weather Service in Seattle has issued a wind advisory for Puget Sound and much of Western Washington.

The advisory will be in effect from 1 to 10 a.m. Friday, March 10.

A wind advisory means that winds of 35 mph are expected.

The National Weather Service is forecasting winds from the southwest of 20 to 35 mph, with gusts of 40 to 50 mph.

Winds will increase quickly Thursday evening, and should peak in the 1 to 10 a.m. time frame.

Affected locations include Bainbridge Island, Seattle, Bellevue, Everett, Olympia, Bellingham, Forks and Aberdeen.
