Washington State Ferries said Monday it has a plan to add a second ferry to the Bainbridge Island-Seattle route after the ferry M/V Wenatchee was pulled from service early Monday.
The Wenatchee reportedly hit logs or other debris in the water, and divers were called in to inspect the ferry’s propellers.
Multiple sailings to Bainbridge from Seattle, and from the island to Seattle, were canceled Monday morning.
WSF said it was planning to add a second boat to the run as soon as Monday afternoon.
