UPDATE | PSE: Nearly 20,000 now without power

Puget Sound Energy said nearly 20,000 homes and businesses in Western Washington were without power just before noon Friday, Oct. 14.

Puget Sound continued to be hammered by a strong windstorm Friday morning. Emergency responders throughout Kitsap County were busy Friday responding to reports of downed trees, power lines and other damage.

A total of 25 outages were reported on Bainbridge Island just before noon Friday.

The largest outage on Bainbridge cut power to more than 900 homes from Day Road NE south to the Grand Forest. The outage was reported just after 11:30 a.m.

A tree was reported blocking Miller Road south of Koura Road just before noon Friday, while another tree was down on Taylor Avenue.
