DEVELOPING | Bainbridge ferry down to one-boat service

The Bainbridge Island-Seattle ferry route was limited to one-boat service after the ferry M/V Wenatchee ran into the dock at the Bainbridge Island Ferry Terminal Thursday afternoon.
The incident prompted the cancellation of the 1:10 p.m. sailing from Bainbridge Island and the 2:05 p.m. sailing from Seattle.
Delays in ferry sailings throughout the afternoon are expected.
Washington State Ferries said the ferry “experienced a propulsion problem” and hit the dock.
The route will be served soley by the M/V Tacoma, which is limited to 1,200 passengers.
The ferry Wenatchee is being kept at the Bainbridge terminal until it is inspected.
WSF described the the impact with the dock as a “bump” and said no one aboard the vessel was injured.
