The famed guitar virtuoso Carl Verheyen, best known for his three decade-plus tenure with the chart-topping rock group Supertramp, will visit the Treehouse Café in Lynwood for an intimate one-night-only acoustic show at 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10.

Verheyen is an institution in his own right as a guitarist, music teacher and studio session player. Recognized as “One of the World’s Top 10 Guitarists” by Guitar Magazine and “One of the Top 100 Guitarists of All Time” by Classic Rock magazine, he is bringing his three-member Carl Verheyen Band to Bainbridge for a rare acoustic side trip while on a 2016 tour of North America.

Experience a powerful mix of blues, rock, jazz and even country from three world-class musicians. The Grammy-nominated Verheyen will be joined by renowned bassist Dave Marotta, who has also performed with Phil Collins, Neil Diamond, Bruce Hornsby, Gino Vanelli, Manhattan Transfer, Kenny Loggins and countless others. Ace drummer John Mader has performed or recorded with Booker T. Jones, Steve Miller, Pat Benatar, Patti Austin, Albert King, Randy Newman and Bonnie Raitt.

Hardly a day goes by during which anyone with access to music, movies, or television doesn’t hear Verheyen’s work. As a first-call studio guitarist, Verheyen is the man behind the guitar behind sounds of some of the most popular TV shows (“Seinfeld,” “Frazier,” “Cheers,” “Happy Days,” “LA Law,” “Married with Children,” among others) and movies (“Star Trek,” “The Usual Suspects,” “Ratatouille,” “The Negotiator” and hundreds more) of all time.  In addition to his duties as Supertramp’s guitarist, he has performed and recorded with a veritable who’s who of music giants, ranging from the great BB King, to Joe Bonamassa, Cher, Brad Paisley, Christina Aguilera, the Bee Gees and hundreds of others.

Tickets, $32 per person, are on sale at www.treehousebainbridge.com. This show is for those 21-and-older only.
