The city of Bainbridge Island will host a community meeting to discuss options for replacing the current police station next week.
The meeting is 6:30 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 18 at city hall.
The discussion follows the rejection by voters of a $15 million bond proposal last November that would have paid for a new station to replace the existing one on Winslow Way.
Next week’s meeting will include a presentation of the options currently being considered by the city, officials said, as well as plenty of time for a community discussion regarding the best path to move forward.
