Bainbridge school district praises voters | LETTER TO THE EDITOR

To the editor:

We are deeply grateful to the Bainbridge Island community for supporting our Feb. 9 school bond proposal.

After years of patching and repairing, approval of this measure will enable us to replace failing buildings and move forward with facility renovations that enhance educational programs, expand opportunities and improve school safety for future generations of Bainbridge Island students.

We want to thank the volunteers and community members who participated in creating, refining or advocating for this proposal. This positive outcome reflects the contributions of hundreds of individuals who gave of their time, their expertise, their wisdom and personal resources during this past year to develop or promote the district’s plans. We are truly blessed to live in a community filled with people who passionately believe in the importance of educating our young.

Finally, we want to express our appreciation to the board of directors, administrators, certificated and classified staff. Their dedication, leadership, courage and tireless commitment are always a source of inspiration to us.
