Bainbridge Island Parks Foundation hosts Labor Day party

Had your parks’ birthday bash fun cut short last week because of the wacky weather?

It’s OK; the Bainbridge Island Parks Foundation is giving you a do-over with a Labor Day party at Fay Bainbridge Park.

Play “beach ball” volleyball, frisbee and other kid-friendly games.

Or sway to the sounds of summer with musical performances from Johnny Bregar; middle school alt-rockers Ben Greene, Cory Derzon-Fupplee, Riley Cawman and John Devlin; and the Buckshot string band. 206 Pie, PsycheDeli and Smooth-e will serve up good eats, and Sweet Wheels will provide the cherry on top with its handmade ice cream sandwiches.

The free event will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Sept. 7 at Fay Bainbridge Park, 15446 Sunrise Drive.
