PSE restoring power to final homes on Bainbridge

Power has been restored to all but two homes on Bainbridge Island following Saturday’s destructive windstorm.

Puget Sound Energy said Tuesday that the company has fixed all but one outage on the island.

Two homes in the Manzanita area that lost power over the weekend were still dark, but PSE said electricity is expected to be restored by midnight Tuesday.

Hundreds of other customers across Kitsap were also still without power Tuesday.

PSE said it has 70 crews in the field throughout the region and expects to have service restored by 6 p.m. Tuesday across Kitsap.

As of 9 p.m. Monday, Aug. 31, PSE said approximately 17,900 customers were still without power.
