Articles indicate the worst is yet to come | LETTER TO THE EDITOR

To the editor:

One might wish Date Daniher had gone further in her excellent plea to fight global warming. The Nation in “The Coming Instant Planetary Emergency” gives a graphic depiction when it describes methane release.

To give an even more dramatic depiction, one might recall “Dr. Strangelove (or how I learned to stop worrying and love the bomb)” with ending showing the sprouting mushroom clouds languidly arising in Siberia to the music of “Until we meet again.”

Now take a look at the Washington Post article on “The Siberian crater saga is more widespread — and scarier — than anyone thought” and cue in the music, “Until We meet Again.” Cheers!
