To the editor:

Were you one of the 1,100 neighbors who were part of the 2014 Turkey Trot?

If you were, your efforts contributed to a $24,000 donation that Ann Browning and Jenny Campbell, the two organizers extraordinaire of the event, presented to us this week. Their excellent leadership along with great sponsors, great volunteers and generous participants support Helpline’s mission to provide critical social services and food to island households in distress.

This event truly demonstrates that actions are louder than words.
