The Waterfront Book Group will talk about “The Whistling Season” by Ivan Doig at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18 at the Waterfront Park Community Center.

A paean to a way of life that has long since vanished, “The Whistling Season” is Doig at his evocative best.
