Bainbridge Island authors earn honors

Two authors from Bainbridge Island were included among those honored earlier this month at the central branch of the Seattle Public Library during this year’s Washington State Book Awards.

The awards are given for outstanding books published by Washington authors throughout the previous year.

In the middle grade category, the award was given to Suzanne Selfors for her book, “The Sasquatch Escape.”

George Shannon was a finalist in the picture book category for “Who Put the Cookie in the Cookie Jar?”
