Andrews is 'best of the best' | LETTER TO THE EDITOR

To the editor:

Take a step — toward ending the carnage — VOTE FOR I-594.

The Second Amendment was never intended to create a right to murder. Think of it: JFK, MLK, RFK, Columbine, Aurora, Colorado, Sandy Hook, Virginia Tech, Cafe Racier plus individuals in our county, including a state trooper! Only 4 percent of schizophrenics are violent. We can’t yet predict schizophrenia (it is a gene variant) How can we possibly predict violent schizophrenics and so called normal people who might murder?

Gun registration with background checks at gun shows and at dealers when individuals are exchanging guns is a first step.

For those of you who want to have a right to attack future wayward government officials, Washington squashed Shay’s Rebellion and Lincoln with Union armies prevented the break up of the United States. Slavery was demolished. You must win at the ballot box, not with even registered guns. You can sue government officials, but you can’t shoot!

Let’s further limit the possibility of those with a mental health condition or former criminals from possessing guns. Approve 594!
