Enrollment stays steady in Bainbridge Island School District

Student enrollment in the Bainbridge Island School District appears to be stable based on this year’s preliminary enrollment numbers.

Most Bainbridge students returned to class on Wednesday, Sept. 3. The preliminary enrollment count for students in Bainbridge public schools is 3,679.15, according to the school district.

The school district’s count last year at this time was 3,699.

This year’s breakdown in students, by grade, finds most students are in the high school age range.

The school district’s preliminary enrollment numbers:

K-4: 1,127.45 students;

Grades 5-8: 1,203.73 students; and

Grades 9-12: 1,347.97 students.

Final enrollment figures are expected in October.
