The city of Bainbridge Island has put up approximately 72 cameras at intersections on the island as part of a traffic study that will gather data to use when assessing development impact fees.

The cameras will be counting how many cars go left, right or straight at a particular intersection.

City officials said the cameras were recently installed by Idax data, and will remain up for a few days.
