Live swing dance at Island Center Hall on Saturday

Island Center Hall hosts a live swing dance event on Saturday, May 10.

From 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. is pre-dance East Coast Swing workshop mixer; admission is free with dance admission. From 8:30 to 11 p.m., dance to the Rude & Unprofessional Swing Band, a group that plays swing music from the 1940s and beyond. Dance to Swing, Foxtrot, Waltz, Cha Cha, Rumba and the Tango.

No pre-registration or partner is required; singles and couples are welcome. The cost is $20/person and includes the workshop and live music; pay at the door.
