The Bainbridge High School sailing team began their competition season Saturday, March 15 by hosting a regatta in Eagle Harbor, the first such competition to be hosted by the team in several years.

BHS sailors had an excellent day on the water, with five out of the six teams placing in the top 10 for the day.

Participating schools that traveled to Bainbridge to take part in the regatta included St. Mary’s, Port Townsend, Port Angeles, Wilsonville, Wilson, Lincoln, Olympia, Central Kitsap and others.

The Review’s own Luciano Marano set to sea with his camera to capture the competition as it happened, and presents his best shots of the day here. Check it out, and see what didn’t make the papers.
