Island doesn’t need new commercial center | LETTER TO THE EDITOR

To the editor:
Herb Eisman is to be commended and thanked for his thoughtful opposition to the commercial development of the northwest corner of High School Road and Highway 305 (“Project will cause traffic congestion,” Letters, Oct. 4).
The last thing Bainbridge Island needs is another commercial center or “mall,” especially one that, as Mr. Eisman points out, would destroy the many existing fine trees on the property and the benefits they provide.
