To the editor:

Having served on the fire board and as fire chief, I understand the need for members of the board to have strong business, finance and analytic skills. The position is not operational in nature but gives direction to staff for establishing budget and service levels. I believe Teri Dettmer and David Lynch would provide such leadership.
