Public hearing to revise housing design program on Bainbridge Island

The city of Bainbridge Island will hold a public hearing this week on its Housing Design Demonstration Project Program.

The meeting is 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26 and will include a hearing on suggested revisions to the program.

Through the use of incentives, the program encourages sustainable development and housing diversity.

At the meeting, the city will discuss an ordinance to revise the program as it is outlined in the city’s municipal code.

The hearing will be held in the city’s council chambers.
